FERROUS CONTAMINATIONS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE BY CLASSICAL CLEANING METHODS
Contaminations can be of various origins, in particular, ferrous ones are created by the friction that develops on the tracks of a railroad or streetcar or emitted by factories. This type of contamination is extremely volatile, and all cars are subject to this type of soiling. On this contamination normal cleaners do not act and cannot dissolve the dirt. This is why it is essential to have a decontaminant specifically for iron contamination such as our Iron Remover.
A properly and frequently cleaned rim will never have too much dirt and iron contaminations strongly anchored on it. This will reduce the time required for cleaning and proceed with maintenance cleaning with a cleaner such as Wheel & Tyre Cleaner. The decontamination process is imperative during the washing phase if a protectant is to be applied since it promotes adhesion.
Repeat decontamination approximately every 3000km. For maintenance cleaning of the rims, we recommend using Wheel & Tyre Cleaner diluted 1:10.
Want to keep the rim clean longer? Use Ceramic Shampoo diluted 1:5, spray it on the rim, wait 2 minutes and rinse.
