How does it work and what does it control?Steering column release:When the driver operates the dedicated control (usually a floor-mounted button or a dashboard lever), the valve supplies compressed air to the steering column pneumatic system.Height and tilt adjustment:The air pressure temporarily releases the mechanical lock, allowing the driver to adjust the steering wheel position. Once the control is released, the valve vents the air and securely locks the steering wheel in its new position.Pressure control:It also acts as a pressure limiter to prevent excessive airflow from damaging the pneumatic cylinders integrated into the steering column.
